I get that feeling too... that there are very powerful forces at odds with the way we have grown accustomed to sharing IP of all kinds, and expecting its universal, convenient, and free-of-charge availability. But I console myself by imagining that whatever technologies emerge to restrict its flow will be circumvented, and whatever laws emerge to restict that circumvention, will be broken.
