Journal Corporate Troll's Journal: What a hypocrite... 5

MySpace gives pastor 'prophetic' edge. Funny, I admit, until you read the following:

Pastor Alton, who cultivates a reputation as a computer illiterate techno-phobe, is actually an avid reader of MySpace pages, blogs and personal websites of the people in his congregation.

I'm sorry, but wasn't there this little thing called "Thou shalt not lie"? It was in some silly top-10 list....

Update 2008-08-04@15:35CET

Turg kindly pointed out that it is a satirical newspaper. I got fooled by it myself, but mainly because I didn't look at the other headlines. However, the content was extremely believable to me, which is kind of saddening too! That said, the other headlines should have given it away, but of course, I didn't read those. *sigh* Their "disclaimer" is quite clear too.

  • Sure thing. But it's all for the greater Go(o)d, no ? Typical.

It's a joke. This is an article on a satirical site -- like The Onion

      • Damn! Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't know that, and as such it seems that I have been trolled. However, isn't this a bit ironic that I didn't even think twice that such a person could exist for real.

Such a person probably -does- exist. Only he'd be unlikely to let himself be interviewed about it in full public, complete with name and picture, I mean that'd kind of give away his little game, no ?
