I stated this same concert at the Android Fireside Chat during Google I/O. The Android team responded that really only two devices are needed for testing, a high DPI (Nexus, Evo, etc) and a medium DPI (G1). Beyond that, everything that runs on one should run nearly the same on the others. Speed is a different thing, but all the new Android phones are pretty damn snappy. Especially with Froyo.

Fuel economy estimates are LOWER than real world fuel economy? Really? I don't think so. I recently saw a window sticker that said (in fine print) the highway fuel economy was achieved at 37 mph. You'd be arrested for driving 37 on the highway. Fuel economy estimates are good ideas that have just turned into more false marketing.

For all the people who drive more than 100 miles a day, I bet there are just as many people who drive less than that. Sure, it may not make sense for you to get one, and that's fine. But for plenty of people something like this is fantastic.
