More interesting work in Vermont (Score 2)

Living Machines is, and has been, doing what I think is far more interesting engineering (i.e. going beyond planting trees) using an entire simulated wetland to treat wastewater from a variety of sources (e.g. sewage, industrial runoff). They already have systems running that are treating towns of 10000+. Check them out.
