The problem I've seen isn't necessarily that the videos are fake, per se. The lack of context around any of these videos makes it impossible to tell if it's even taking place in China, let alone related to the ongoing epidemic. Let's be honest, your average westerner can't really tell the difference between Asian ethnicities, as long as your video has vaguely Asian people in it, NPCs will spread it around Twitter and FaceBook without a second thought. You end up with these videos with no timestamp and maybe a translation that you can't easily verify posted with claims that it's Coronavirus related and no straightforward way to tell if it's legit or not.

CS cirriculums are an artifact of its origins in mathematics. All the major developments in CS were done by mathematicians, and the field retains that pedigree by focusing on all the maths that are under the hood and less on practical topics.

I mean, learning Boolean algebra and graph theory is fine and all, but there really should be more programs focused on, well, writing programs. Call it Software Engineering if you want (this seems to annoy the "traditional" Engineers, but fuck 'em), because 80% of people doing CS should probably be doing a less theoretical curriculum. The other 20% will find careers in academia which is basically what CS is meant for anyway.

There's also some fun stuff like males potentially being rendered infertile, and being able to catch the virus again. The fact that it either turns into--or makes one susceptible to-- pneumonia is icing on the cake. There goes the old and the asthmatics. But it's just like the flu bro.
