I have this phone, I avoid using wi-fi for this specific reason, and if I do have to use wi-fi, I immediately reboot my phone after turning it off. That process, while it sucks, is something I can deal with because I have no other choice. What really sucks is when the data locks up at random with no wi-fi usage at all. This issues has been confirmed by many moment owners, and depending on who you speak to at sprint or samsung, they may or may not admit to this issue. These phones also aren't the fastest booting devices, if in an emergency situation you realized your modem had locked up, and needed to reboot the phone to make an emergency call, you generally have at least a 60 second boot (usually longer, depending on apps, etc..) before you could make that call.

I had an HP DV6707US that I'd had for around year when I dropped it and shattered the LCD. HP wanted $400 for the screen, so I got a 22" Dell Ultrasharp and made it into a desktop for my office.
