I haven't even really considered acquiring/investing in my own solar system. I do, however, participate in the use of one in a community of a few billion other people. It isn't the most efficient system--only the third planet is really habitable, and even if there was life on the fourth at any point, now it is only speculated to be in subterranean water pockets. All in all I'm happy with my current situation and wouldn't really go for my own.

But in a forest setting. Last I heard, he'd already set up a stream, but if I recall correctly it was only for a few days so he could see how the system worked. Nothing too high-tech, just a gps and internet attatched to a toy robot with a camera in it, but for that cheap it's good enough I suppose. I think for doing something up in the Alps you'd need something a little hardier and better at climbing things, but it certainly is a start. I am all for attatching a spycam and GPS to the FreeSki monster, though. Just plant it on some poor sap and check his location every five minutes to see where it takes the body.

Obviously the more expensive they are, the better.

Really? So were I to go to the dollar store to pick up a set and then sell it to you for $60, it would automatically be better than the $30 set your friend is willing to sell you? Or, were I a company, manufacture a good $50 set and sell it for $200 a pop, with 14 audioconductive channels and special hi-fidelity electrically treated cables that ensure maximum audio transition (just as intended in studio!!!1!!)?
