By the content do you mean the music (which consisted of several genres), the lives of poor people in the 70s, corruption, crime, romance, fantasy, coming of age or one of several other elements? I thought the show was wonderful and great.
I think the contribution of Halo was atmosphere and storytelling, not so much game mechanics. What FPS did a better job of world building at the time? Half life was good at this but I think Halo was better. But yeah HL should also definitely be on the list.
I was thinking about this issue recently in a workshop and I think one major component of this problem that doesn't really get talked about is the idea that the brain is designed to make associations. When you link two concepts together the brain creates a link, and the more times t you hear that link, the stronger it becomes, INCLUDING when someone tries to refute a relationship; the brain still links the two concepts. It doesn't really have a mechanism to de-link concepts except through the passage of time. It seems to me that instead of trying to de-link concepts we should instead just provide counter-narratives that ALSO stipulate a relationship, and to not talk about the fake relationships as much if at all. Anyway, that's my two cents.
Having spent some time watching conservative news I can imagine that this apparent "bias" is just a matter of fact checking. Is it bias to omit articles saying President Obama isn't an American citizen. Nope, it's just fact checking. Yet, there were countless conservative news stories touting this lie. And this isn't the only issue along these lines.
I think Hillary is the least bad option this season, but what is it with her and classified information? Do we really want her to reveal the "truth," which likely has nothing to do with aliens and everything to do with our own experimental military technology?
