In case Sunil is not able to get back on today, I'll respond.

Virtualization is less relevant to SMB. However, it can also be equally important - on a smaller scale. Therefore, vConsolidate benchmark was designed with many usages in mind (from small biz to large datacenter) virtualizing a database, app, email, and web serving applications.

For ex, In a small-med biz environment, as the compute needs grow a business could quickly grow out of it's technology space allocation (single server or back room closet). So virtualization gives them an alternative to scaling out more under-utilized systems, (requires buying new office or even getting an office). Virtualization gives them the flexibility to run discrete apps on the same server footprint, saving them from costly expansion and more complex maintenance concerns. This assumes the existing server systems are not taxed today and the applications aren't too big. This gives them the ability to grow applications without tremendous expense - really the same value for enterprise consolidation, just the other way.

I certainly agree that migration of VMs and load balancing is definitely a large enterprise usage - much less relevant to a small biz. Medium sized guys are caught in the middle.
