I filed an update to this story late Friday that didn't get picked up by CNN. Napster confirmed talks with Microsoft, without giving details about what they were talking about, except to say that if a Microsoft buyout was ever on the table, it ain't now. Microsoft talked at length about the virtues of Windows Audio for protecting copyright, but denied comment specifically about talks with Napster. Is this news?
