Ths is a continuation of this earlier JE.
I really like the idea of friending foes. Basically, people seem to take offense to being foed, which is something i do not want; i simply want to ignore them. Nor do i mean to be discreet. I don't mean to push it in anyone's face, but at the same time i do not care to hide it. And then there's that nasty four-hundred relations limit. So, i figured i could address all these with friend-of-friend.
I just created three new user accounts. Profanity and Malediction are to be used for friending my foes. I needed two, because i have over two-hundred foes, and do not plan to subscribe these other accounts. Then, i plan to move my friend and Friend-of-friend modifier to -6, and purge all my foes. Finally, when i see something i do not like, i can friend them, and eventually move them from friend to friend-of-friend. It should be a "win-win" scenario. I filter them and they do not feel offended.
I then plan to foe my friends. This, however, leaves my friends at three disadvantages. One, they won't be read. Two, i won't see their JEs, and three is that they may feel bad to be foed. To combat this, i plan to make the foe modified to +6. That'll make sure they're comments are high. For seeing their JEs, i plan to use Turg's wonderful idea of also friending them to another user, and use Amigos to read the JEs. Specifically, i created a new user Mahcahc to friend all my friends (now foes), then i can read the Mahcahc's Amigos to see everyone's JEs. This has the added benefit that i'll see more JEs, as undescriptive titles won't really keep me away. The downside is that i won't be messaged, and as such i'll have to check manually. Unless i turn on email notification. Perhaps.
The problem is the third issue. Will my newly-made foes feel offended? I don't think they will, and i plan to add a line somewhere explaining it to be readily availible. If you are a "friend" of mine would you care if i foed you in this purpose?
