Not that I'm aware of. At least... it seems like a camel would make for a very unwieldy pet. I can't say as I've ever actually been particularly nearby one. I do know people who keep an alpaca as a pet, however. It smells something horrible.
It is an odd frame of reference switch now that you mention it, though.
