John, I'm glad to hear that you're so interested in developing for other platforms besides Windows. After all, games do drive technology, right? =) I'd like to see other developers share this interest, and it seems to be happening, albeit slowly... Windows is not the greatest thing since sliced bread, that's for sure. I remember you saying in the October 1997 issue of PC Gamer that "if you program for DirectX, you're just plain locked in." It's true. I've tinkered a bit with OpenGL programming, and I find it to be relativly easy as compaired to DirectX. It's nice to see an effort to bring OpenGL to Linux, as I think it will greatly increase the interest in Linux, particularly with gaming (which goes back to me saying "games drive the market"). Keep making great games John, and I'll buy them. Keep supporting different platforms, and you've got a friend in me. I'll be first in line for Doom3 (or whatever it may be named =)
