I guess I can assume that since I am on both the federal and state of Colorado do not call lists, then none of these verified calls will be allowed through to my phone since Google will undoubtedly verify that these verified callers are honoring the do not call lists, you know, just like all the foreign based junk call robo callers.

A woman keyed a Tesla for as of yet an undisclosed reason. Unfortunately for her, the Tesla recorded the entire event, and it was fairly obvious this wasn't her first rodeo. The pictures were widely distributed on social media, and she turned herself in. Score one for the Tesla and its cameras.

If you remove the protections, this will result in an unprecedented number of civil lawsuits over comments that offend or trigger and make someone feel unsafe. A lawyer's wet dream.

Caller ID spoofing for the purpose of deception is already illegal. Robocalls to numbers on the Federal (and some states) Do Not Call lists are already illegal. Unfortunately, India, Afghanistan, and Pakistan are outside the reach of these laws.
