Think of how many people get 6 hours of sleep then prop themselves up with caffeine, never exercise, do any amount of drugs or alcohol ever in any amount, have toxic things around their house and don't care, microwave styrofoam or something equally stupid, overheat non-stick pans, touch receipt paper after using hand sanitizer (severe BPA dose) or grew up with leaded gasoline. I'd say 90% but sure, let's go with 80%.

Comment Is this really OneDrive? (Score 0) 32

So the cloud filter driver is used by OneDrive and it's like a weird, stripped down, shitty clone of VSS. It lets you pretend files are there in the file system then download them in the background from the cloud. We disabled that functionality at my company because people at a job site didn't need to pull down a 500MB PDF blueprint that they thought was on their local computer, while tethered on a smartphone with 2 bars of signal. Anyway, they CLAIM that Dropbox uses this system too so it's not just OneDrive. Sure. I bet they use it because it was already there because of OneDrive coming with the OS.

So in my opinion, OneDrive's monopoly abusing bullshit caused this flaw.

Comment Line of sight doesn't work (Score 1) 40

Going on top a mountain isn't going to get you close enough to have line of sight to space. You'd need to go to Everest and if you've ever seen footage from the summit, you look up, and the sky is black because it's basically space and you're above too much of the atmosphere. They'll drop signal every time a cloud blows past or it rains. Also, anyone picture Greek people firing a laser from on top a mountain and think this is Olympus-related. Can't be just me.

Comment Directionality (Score 1) 23

I finally looked this up because it makes no sense. Two sensors that see a ripple in space at slightly different times gives you a broad arc at best and a full 2D plane at worst. So, when they say, "LIGO detected a wave and it's that one black hole merger right there, 100% definitely for sure," and that sounds like bullshit, it's because it is. One detector cannot determine directionality. They use triangulation from the 3 different detectors, LIGO, Virgo, and KAGRA. Even then it's more guesswork than they say.

That's important here because Dark Matter is even more subtle and hard to pinpoint AND you can't compare it to telescope data to verify your theory on directionality.

Comment Worse idea (Score 2) 157

I have no idea why they failed or what even went wrong but I also didn't know they made electric vehicles at all. So that's probably part of the problem. What I can tell you for certain is people don't want a failing transmission AND battery pack at 100,000 miles. I actually don't want either but I guess I can live with one. So hybrids are dead to me and anyone else with a brain.
