Comment Tech? TV (Score -1) 404
At one time... the Screen Savers were the only show on TV that would come close to taking about technology. Where else on TV would you hear Linux mentioned
I don't know if you saw the early "version" of tech TV called "ZDTV" but that was truly a network devoted to techology shows. Big Thinkers was a 1 on 1 interview show where they would interview CEO/CTO's of tech companies, Computer Scientists, etc, etc and actually ask interesting questions about the future of technology. There was another show called Silicon Spin that John Dvorak hosted that typically had 4 guests. Those were really good too, they would often have discussions about the type of stories you see here on slashdot (albeit with less open source bias). Leo and Kate would do screen savers which was ultra-informative back then.
About when the name changed to "Tech TV" they started taking the tech out. They cancelled big thinkers, and silicon spin. Call for help remained the noob show, but it seemed the longer and longer the channel went on the more it became less about technolgy and more about fluff.
