I'm in the same boat with my 2500k + GTX660 Ti which is 10 years old at this point, been waiting to upgrade for 2 years now, and I don't see myself doing so until things settle down and prices at least come down to near MSRP levels (which are still too damn high compared to what the used to be). I could afford it in theory but I'd feel like I'm getting screwed and that does not sit well with me. I usually look for something that gives good value for the money spent which just does not seem to exist anymore. I just hope my current card doesn't die until we get there....
