Welcome to Cybertron Autobots (Score 1)

A couple of years ago (like way before the movie came out!!!) I decided to use transformers names for computers/server at work... Well now I would like to share this scheme with you! First, well there are the bad and the good guys... The decepticons were all the Windows Machines and of course, since we were a Linux dev shop, all Linux machines were autobots! The DNS/DHCP was of course in linux, but since it could serve both sides, was named Cybertron So of course my Personnal laptop was named OptimusPrime... hehe but the best part of this naming scheme was when we had to build a cluster... Individual machines were named, for exemple after the constructicons... and the cluster was to form: DEVASTATOR!!!! and you could even go further like I did... naming your windows backup server Soundwave and labeling your dat tapes Laserbeak-01 and so on... Don't forget to name your main linux file server TELETRAN-1!!!! :D Bob
