Shit Another Obsolete Library

Even the official web sites are broken, the rest last updated 2 years+ ago. Now that they have agreed which patents they wish to have enshrined in M4, ya' think we will see any progress? Ha!

Update:
I would submit this but I am unable to talk in words larger than four letters about this subject.

Instead we get to piss poor frontpage items on music topics.

    • Yeah I know not much of hints as to what I am ranting about.

      The subject is MPEG-4 and a subsection of the standard MPEG-4-SAOL or Structured Audio. The idea was to have PD/CSound syntax available to streams or stand-alone files. See here [berkeley.edu]. The chairs and misc other members of working-groups/spec-commitees have been sucking back the funding and the grants and yet not published or done a fucking thing in years.

      The M4 group has just recently link [mpegla.com] agreed as to the license fees and who's patents are going to be paid for in Mpeg-4. A quick check of the notes from them show that SOAL is dead(or lost in the woods).
