It seems that the twin prime proof cited here http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/05/28/2012209&mode=thread&tid=134&tid=146&tid=99 is wrong. The author has pulled the article with the explenation: "A serious error has been found in the paper, specifically, Lemma 8 is incorrect." This is not too surprising; this problem is infamous for the number of mathematicians it has triped up.
