I think this is a problem that will eventually work itself out. Genetic modification is, essentially, not much more than a far more efficient form of eugenics/breeding; this has gone on since humans found out two black goats don't get a white one.

At least so far human nature has shown to prefer the natural over the synthetic when given the choice; the presence of flaws and irregularities is often seen as a sign of beauty in small amounts. There will be people who choose to genetically alter their offspring to better suit their wants, but people will grow accustomed and able to pick out the slight tells in this, just as we get an eerie feel of fakeness with people raised extremely strictly; their flawlessness is offputting.

It'll be great for solving some of the obviously awful hereditary diseases and conditions, some people will go overboard and be a great lesson for the rest of us.

The problem isn't that Macho Killing Machines are perceived as negative by boys; the problem is exactly that they aren't.

For some reason, media that keeps perpetuating the same male archetype, the murderous brute, isn't seen as sexist, which I think is weird. As a boy, of course I liked the idea of being strong enough to defend myself, but I never identified with the brutes I had to defend myself from; all of whom more closely resembled my given TV-heroes than I did in terms of strength, tenacity and ability to lead.

I agree that fighting this point would be feminist, I do not agree that this portrayal is not sexist.

Somehow though, I have to be another one of those assholes and say that trolling is a big issue, but not solely a women's issue. If you want an example of trolling that reached an entirely new level and has most definitely contributed to the failing mental health of an autistic man, look up the story of Christian Weston Chandler.

Trolling isn't new, it's always been mind-boggilingly terrible, but we couldn't be arsed to do anything but laugh back when the victims were usually mentally ill and male.

I think the point is that people shouldn't be drinking coke like it's water; so in effect coke itself doesn't cause obesity, the overconsumption does. Cola is a great beverage if you've neglected to eat or drink for three quarters of a day and your legs won't stop shaking when you stand up. Drinking a single can of coke'll get your strength back up for long enough to get yourself something actually nutritious to eat or drink.

I'm a man so I'm technically not the target demographic, but I'd love to have something to this for some of the parties, events of festivals I sometimes find myself at. Now I'm not that worried about being sexually assaulted or raped; both my sex and my ghastly physical appearance make chances of that happening to me extremely close to zero. but I've heard some anecdotes that GHB and the likes are also frequently used by muggers; instead of risking a physical altercation or a gunshot to the face, you can also just drug the dude, take his stuff and toss him off the nearest bridge all without him putting up a fight.

Concerning the need for this product; it's not so much the times we live in that created this product; being incapacitated and taken advantage of has always been an active threat to women in social situations; so I'm mostly just happy there is an addition to the safety precautions a woman can take to gain a little more security in their day-to-day lives.

If I'm correct, methane is lighter than carbon dioxide. Isn't it possible that methane that was produced long ago has settled on top of the CO2 layer, and can't really be detected from ground level?
I'm actually seriously asking, I have no clue.
