It is good news to finally see a non-commercial version of Havok available for free for developers to play around with. Can't help thinking that the gesture is a tad bit too late as nVidia's GPU physics is shaping up to take over the whole "physics" space which is mad really given that PhysX was way behind Havok! I guess that is the reason they went after Intel to buy them out before their business model started failing due to their lack of leadership. Shame really as it is a great product developed by some of the best engineers in the business. Will be interesting to see how this free version is received. I have my copy and am using it now. I wonder if Havok will release the GPU versions of their API (for ATI and nVidia GPUs)???
