"Measuring the economics of the situation" is the biggest challenge of this generation. The robots are coming like an army. They have sent scouts ahead. Within a few years 80% of service jobs, including semi-skilled service jobs, will be performed by robots. Without a sufficient welfare program the vast majority of human kind would starve. Many will view their fellow poverty stricken brethren as worthless "Dunsel" who should 'self-deport'. Humanity must fundamentally change the way people are viewed. Everyone can contribute to life in a beautiful new world. This is not a political issue right or left, simply a real obstacle to the future of man. UBI is a small tool to help.
