Note that they didn't say that they won't be supporting 32 bit apps. They only said that they wouldn't provide seperate media for PC's with 32 bit processors. This move only affects those people interested in installing Windows 10 from scratch on a desktop computer with a processor that was made pre-2009 (the core duo).

If the problem they are talking about is "equivalent to the emissions from 2 million cars", we're talking about about the effective increase of car emissions of about .14%. If drivers had to drive .14% farther every year, or the average fuel economy dropped from 25MPG to 24.964MPG, this would never be a story. Of course using numbers (2 freaking million!
