The premise of Idiocracy is indistinguishable from one of the most dangerous pseudo-sciences of the 20th century: Eugenics.
The idea behind Eugenics is that smart people don't breed enough, and that evolution favors the "idiot masses."
Sounds reasonable, but it's wrong. Evolution only works on heritable traits, and intelligence is not heritable? Scientists have been working for years to try and identify an "intelligence gene" with absolutely no luck.
Not only is Eugenics bad science, it's dangerous science. It eventually lead to the forced sterilization of over 64,000 individuals, right here in the USA, in order to "save" the human race from de-evolution.
Additionally, Hitler was an avid Eugenicist. He ultimately used it to justify the murder of 6 million Jews.
