Do you take the time to vet every single piece of information you come across, trusting absolutely no one? No? Then guess what: You're vulnerable to misinformation. Declaring the general public to be lazy for not all being paranoid nutcases who trust nothing is missing the point. Honestly, it would be far worse than it already is if that were the case. Very few people have the time to fact check everything they come across, and you are no exception.

That has to do with our government's insistence on propping up the corn and sugar industries by giving them subsidies, making unhealthy food the cheapest option. We load sugar or high fructose corn syrup into just about everything. Another factor is how we've been building everything to be dependent on cars for the last several decades. No one walks to the store anymore. What it doesn't have anything to do with is insurance.
