Why would an officer broadcast rape details at all? Put it in your police report. An officer should be monitored and disciplined if they corrupt an investigation in such an irresponsible way.

The police around here have proven themselves to believe they can act above the law, with many local and federal charges for corruption being brought beyond just Freddie Gray and We Run This City. Statistics and response times surely will highlight the general laziness of some officers, but transparency in communication is critical for accountability of police misconduct.

This has been going on for a while in Baltimore. It is used exclusively to avoid accountablilty under the guise of running OpSec against the citizens they serve.
