But the problem is that we aren't in a war. It wasn't the nation of Afganistan who attacked; it was the Al-Qaida. And, on a related note, I am appalled that President Bush would use the anniversary of the terrorist attack to push his war on Iraq ("But I promised daddy I would finish Saddam!").
Additionally, very few people seem to realize that it was our own government who formed these militant Islamic terrorist group to fight the "godless commies" back in the Cold War. It was also our government who provoked these groups into action by exclusively sponsoring Israel in the Middle East (which we did becaise we felt bad for not helping out earlier when Hitler was slaughtering Jews).
