Installler and compiler (Score 1)

What I really would want for all linux apps, was a standard graphical installer like they use in Winblows, but instead of just copying files, the installer should also compile the source files and let me choose where to place my binaries.

This would provide the best binaries for my platform, access to the source files and an easy way to install the application.
