If they lose a four-device account and gain two ad-supported accounts, that might not even be revenue-neutral, much less revenue-positive.

Actually, they'd prefer to gain two ad supported accounts as they make more money off the ads than subscription fees. And if they lose a $20 sub, but get two $15 subs out of it, that's still a gain.

This is why I gave up on mobile games. Anything interesting enough to warrant playing was ruined by the control scheme. I tried to play one of those Rockstar ports several years back and gave up after an hour.

As far as clicky keyboards, I find a good medium ground are tactile switches. They give enough feedback that I can type without bottoming out, but I barely feel the bump while playing games. I could probably type faster with a clicky keyboard, but then I'd need a linear switch for gaming.

The problem with the situation is that reading text messages and news apps don't tend to spur critical thinking or imagination. We're seeing the end results in the entertainment industry. Look at the content (shit?) that Disney is putting out lately, in all their brands. These people have no literary background or life experience, but consider themselves writers. They think the best way to get their message across is to hit you over the head with it, story be damned.

Used to be that I would pick up a novel or comic book when I was bored. I'd make trips to the library every couple weeks. Now with Youtube and smart phones, streaming services, and games, there's never any downtime. I find myself creating downtime just to finish a novel I started and never got back to. I'm sure its even harder for kids these days, given all the extra distractions and sports, and such.

I noticed this, too. I bought some Breyers cookies and cream without noticing it was "Frozen Dairy Dessert." It was all gummy and seemed to be half air. I think I had a couple scoops before I cut my losses and tossed it.

Lately, I've been buying store brand ice creams. They are varying quality, but seem to be a good value. Even the worst ones (looking at you, Giant/Stop & Shop) are better than the Breyers crap. I would buy Stop & Shop ice cream, if I happened to be there. Wouldn't touch Breyers with a ten foot pole.

Its simple. There is way too much on there and you have no context for choosing one randomly generic show over another. I don't play that game anymore and I do exactly what you do. If I'm awake at 2 AM, I'll look through my streaming services and take note of what's available, though.

Most people aren't like us. They expect the TV to entertain them the way it did when everything was on broadcast. Figuring out what you want to watch all the time is work.
