Comment Mame + Good Games (Score 1) 513

Get mame.

A lot of the old arcade games had less demanding attitude than games today. They actually had to win your attention as you passed by the arcade machine, and were designed for you to want to keep playing (and pop in more quarters). Fighters, brawlers, sports, hack and slash, puzzle, side/top-scrolling shooters, and countless others I'm overlooking: they're all on there, and they're not afraid to use bright colors and really nice 2d sprites. The best part is that almost all of them are 2 player, and a good majority is co-op.

I've found that there's not much more fun than teaming up with player 2 and beating the crap out of the computer with infinite credits. And really, how can you go wrong with a bizarre co-op puzzle game hybrid ?

It's good to hear that someone else has had similar luck with Sandisk. My 512MB Cruzer Mini's gone through the washer twice now, too. The first time I had to format it to be able to write to the thing again, but I was able to copy data off it fine. The second time around (which was only last week, for the record) it worked without any additional steps. Sandisk is now one of my favorite brands and I'd recommend them to anyone. Here's hoping they never disappoint me. :)

"Ok, I'm a geek and I love to have the Internet wherever I am but why in the kitchen?"

From someone who just aquired the parentals old computer when they upgraded, and planned on rearranging my kitchen for it, I'll tell you exactly why I'd like a computer in my kitchen. I now have access to all my recipes (which I store digitally, since it's way to hard to search through them when they are on recipe cards), and having a computer that stays in my kitchen means I don't have to set up a tv tray table for my laptop, which I in turn have to walk around. And I can now watch movies while washing the dishes. :)
