No, not the 2.2 GHz, that accutally sounds cool.. but all this stuff about the "Megahertz Myth"..
First of all this story is about a chip, not a system.. and so the Megahertz Myth doesn't apply because the chip should ACCTUALLY run at its clock speed.. weather or not a system can keep up with it is irelivient.
Secound the article on apple.com about this myth is inncreddibly biast... YES a G4 runs faster than a IBM NetVista Alta 1.7GHz Pentium 4.. WHY?!? BECAUSE it wasn't ment to be the fastest system!
The ONLY Reason they poped a 1.7GHz chip in there is to make it "Sound" fast.. The system, in truth is only really meant for at home web users and not much else. and so they didn't add a fast motherboard, fast RAM or fast HardDrive so OF COURSE ITS NOT GOING TO BE FASTER THAN A G4 because a G4 WAS designed to be more than just a web browser!
Ok, now that thats settled I also want to say no I don't have anything against apple, as a matter of fact I have tried there OS10 on a Dual 800MHz Power Mac and was very immpressed. Even though my AMD system is better ;P
