This seems to be one of those instances where the free market bites a corporation in the butt and then they whine to the Government so that pro-"their business interest" regulation is put into place or in place regulations are used/ruled in their favour. Thus making it an un-free market even though corporations are championing a free market to whatever gov. official will offer them sympathy.
In this case AT&T was free to create it's own innovate search engine and reap the benefits from it. Investers would not have made the same dough via AT&T than Google by making sure a brand new company introduced itself to the stock market.

Jeopardy! Tryout Screenings Go Online 102

KingSkippus writes "According to a CNN article, the television game show Jeopardy! is now offering online contestant screenings in addition to conducting contestant searches in various cities across the country. Potential contestants will still have to pass an interview and an additional test in person to be considered for the pool of 400 contestants each year, but now the next Ken Jennings can apply without leaving the comfort of his or her own chair. The first online screenings begin March 28."

Journal Journal: The Bush Administration.

Every broken law and broken promise and lie by the Bush Administration is going to be catalogued and examined in this Journal. Each transgression should be punished but Bush has the whole of the US of A in his hands because the special counsel law expired in 1999, the Democrats do not hold the House or the Senate and the Attorney General can dismiss anything that comes his way.
