More realistically - Obama was re-elected because people still believe 'change' is what he wants, and wanted. Not sure who said it earlier, but Obama isn't changing anything that he said he would in any major positive manner. 50% were just fools enough to continue to believe he ever meant to. The other (less than) 50% were fools enough to believe replacing Obama would make a difference and take things back to the way they were (and I shudder to think about what they thought that means). The tiny, tiny percent who tried to buck 'the system' were the only ones truly looking for change. But the rest of the world doesn't want that change, either. They aren't ready for the US to recover its old swagger and power - they want it to continue to decline, mistakenly thinking they might be the ones who benfit from it. At least until they see who steps up next over the next 50 years if the US doesn't complete its decline into mediocrity.
