6 and 8 camps in MCU and programmers (Score 1)

He wrote about the 6 and 8 microprocessors. 6502, 6800, 6809, 68000 vs. 8008, 8080 ,Z-80, 8086, 80286 (later 80386, and Pentium), and how their philosophies differ and affects the end products. He viewed them as two camps of developers. The 6-ers created new software categories, were more creative, and the 8-ers were more analytical and built big businesses. In the 80-90-s I was a 6-er (6502, 68000 assembly dev), and I remember John’s articles, but can’t find those 2-3 articles about the 6 vs. 8 camps. I feel in today’s world the Cortex MCUs are in the 8 category, and the Risc-V in the 6 category. So it seems the left brain, right brain categories, probably still continue, although a little more mixed up. Would appreciate PDF’s, links about this division and and also what he wrote about that, as I am researching this fundamental division and how people gravitate to them based on their own left-right brain balance.
