Thank you for your post! I agree with you.

Everyone has choice as to what they put into their bodies. I do not tell people that they should or should not get the vaccine. It's completely up to them. I belittle no one for making their own decisions.

Furthermore, the majority of those promoting the vaccine publicly are typically pharmaceutical companies, politicians, and mainstream media outlets. All of these entities have a longstanding reputation for dishonesty, misinformation and self-serving interests. The majority of the general public have a reputation for being mindless sheep.

To suggest that someone is being selfish because they choose not to get vaccinated is just absurd. It reminds me of Dubya's famous quote "If you're not with us, you're with the terrorists". Follow the lemmings....

If you believe that you will be protected by the vaccine then great. Get a jab! I won't stop you, nor will I call you names. What should it matter if someone else is unvaccinated and gets Covid? You are protected. Or are you?

Ten years from now you could be sterile or die of liver cancer due to the vaccine. Who knows? Or perhaps Covid could cause that too, yes. But there are many of us who would rather take that risk - and the responsibility for our own health - than blindly hand it over to big pharma and be a human guinea pig or lab rat for an experimental vaccine that has been known to kill people.

One must wonder how pro-vaxx someone would be if one of their loved ones - parent - child - sibling - friend - whoever - suddenly died after getting vaccinated. Would they still have the "take it for the team, you selfish bastard!" attitude?

And yes, the same could be said if a loved one dies of Covid also.

However, the chance of dying from either Covid or the vaccine is still ridiculously low, regardless. The point is that we all have a choice and we should respect the choices of others, even if we don't agree with them.

The world needs love and unity now more than ever, yet these social issues are continually dividing us and pitting us against each other.

Peace.

Glacier water is fresh water, not salt water.

And as the freshwater crisis in North America continues to expand, this fresh glacier water may assist in the replenishment of our freshwater supply.

Of course, we need to do more as humans to be more efficient with our use of fresh water. Using rainwater for laundry, for example, or grey water systems for toilets.

There is no shame in replying to a -1 post.

My karma was good for a long time, but was recently destroyed by nasty, disgusting trolls who lurk in the labyrinths of Slashdot forums (and at least one in the moderator group, I strongly suspect), simply because I have a different opinion on certain topics.

I don't post here enough to really care, though.

That said, I'd like to say thank you to the kind soul who modded me up from -1 to 0.

Cheers, mate!

You are correct - I have not used a Starlink connection myself, nor do I know anyone who has it at this time, so, yes, I admit my ignorance as to Starlink's latency. That is actually quite impressive!

That said, the satellite connections that I have used do have very poor latency.

Assuming it's not storming outside, they should check their configuration.

Xplornet users that I deal with typically get around 25 Mbps on average, not 5. Unless you are talking about upstream data rates. Latency usually sucks on satellite connections also.

Yes!

This pandemic is certainly being used for political purposes and to re-structure society according to some agenda. What draconian laws will be installed into our society as a result? Who is profiting from all of this, both in terms of money and power?

Sure, there may be a nasty virus going around. Is the solution worse than the problem? Yes, quite obviously.

> "Smoking has killed over 2,000,000 in the same period"

Yes! And where is the ban on cigarettes? There is none. They will kill you. That's a fact. But there's no ban.. Just warning labels.

Thank you for posting. It's nice to see that not everyone has lost their head to Covid Craziness and can still think rationally.

Fear is the virus.

Absolutely! Society is rapidly moving away from personal ownership of property to subscription-based revenue models and centralized control of content.

Sure, Netflix and Spotify are quality entertainment services - as long as you continually feed them money. No money, no music, no movies.
