ApacheVE writes: "Voodoo Extreme whipped up a story called Generation XP: Top 20 Games of the Last Generation counting down the best games released in the Windows XP era. Some favorites include: Doom 3, Unreal Tournament 2004, Civ IV, World of Warcraft and other titles that helped shape the era.

Doom 3 was a lot different than the first two games. Instead of running and gunning to get good times clearing levels, id slowed things down to a crawl. Literally. Most of the levels were ultra dark, and heavily reliant on using a flashlight to get around. Having to switch back and forth between the flashlight to weapon was a bit unruly at first, but id managed to make quite an experience out of it. Not everyone loved the plastic-coated-looking textures, but overall the graphics were tight. Quake IV, on the other hand, is a different story...
