And how would you describe a person with his mind set on spreading fear to achive political power? A terrorist.
Thats it. Any logical person should be aware that a "fear monger" is a terrorist who uses fear and threat of violence to shape public opinion.

Submission + - IBM to buy AMD?
SpiceMonkey writes: "AMD stock was up 6.74% on Monday on rumors that AMD is a prime buyout target. The AMD message board on Yahoo! is full of speculation that IBM is the buyer. If IBM indeed buys out AMD, the CPU war would become IBM vs. Intel which would be very interesting. Does anyone want to speculate what would happen 2-3 years down the road if IBM buys AMD?"
Cringely Predicts Apple to Ship OS X for Any PC 789
boosman writes "In his current column, and in a similar op-ed piece in The New York Times, Robert X. Cringely predicts that Apple 'will announce a product similar to Boot Camp to allow OS X to run on bog-standard 32-bit PC hardware.' I dissect why this is unthinkable and challenge Cringely to a public bet on the subject."

SCOTUS To Hear Patentable Thought Case 394
skayell writes "The Supreme Court of the United States will hear a landmark patent case involving whether or not thoughts and relationships are patentable. Michael Crichton's essay in the New York Times attempts a thoughtful summary of Metabolite's primary assertion: they not only own the connection between homocysteine levels in the blood and vitamin B12 deficiency, but also any thought connecting the two."
Symantec Rethinks Firefox vs IE Vulnerabilities 214
chill writes "Last September security software vendor Symantec issued a report claiming IE had fewer critical flaws than Firefox and thus was more secure. Well, it seem they have now rethought that position. 'How we did it before wasn't a fair comparison,' said Oliver Friedrichs, the senior manager of Symantec's security response group. 'It wasn't an apples to apples comparison.' The key was vendor acknowledged critical vulnerabilities. Thus, if Microsoft (or the Mozilla Foundation) didn't agree it was critical, then it didn't get counted."
RFID, Sign of the (End) Times? 843
andy753421 writes "Wired is running an article featuring Katherine Albrecht who, with her new book 'The Spychips Threat: Why Christians Should Resist RFID and Electronic Surveillance', is warning that RFID tags may in fact be the "mark of the beast". Among her arguments are that in a futuristic world anyone who wishes to buy and sell goods would be compelled "to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads," as is foretold in the book Revelation. Others are skeptical saying that many new technologies, such as the printing press, bar-codes, and several others, have also created fears about the beginning of the end."
