Andrevan's Journal: Wikipedia Power Outage

Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, is currently down due to a power outage. Developers have said that it should be up soon. However, this brief outage has created a great deal of chaos, with many Wiki users coming onto #wikipedia on FreeNode to complain about how they need to write essays, etc. I remember when Google was down for an hour and it was a big problem... how do we react when deprived of our sources of information? What was it like before Wikipedia, and we do we have so much trouble re-adjusting to it?
