My perception of Google as a software provider is of a black box from which code gets emitted. I never see discussion or engagement with the community engineers over what they want, bugs they report, or features they'd like to see a little different. Google groups are always just a graveyard of unhappy users locked threads, and tone deaf "Thanks for the report, we'll take it into consideration!" community leaders.
So, pass. Google think they're too smart and capable to need outside input, and I think that's just hubris. I'll wait for someone to take Google's experiment and make it market ready.
