Right, the servers hide behind Cloudflare and AWS, but damn the fucking lusers who share an IP address due to CGNAT or are even just in the same subnet as someone they don't know. Collective punishment is such a nice move. Asshole.

AC is exactly right. It happens when they can't easily track you. Google, Amazon, eBay and more all have started to frequently show me a "verify your identity" or "bot check" page with a captcha. That's exactly what they do to TOR users, but I'm not using TOR. I'm just behind CGNAT and use a privacy conscious browser configuration (no persistent anything, no referer header, no third party scripts except whitelisted ones, etc.). The web is becoming unusable if you're serious about privacy.
