Alioth's Journal: Glastonbury

How I'd like to go to Glastonbury some time... but it's such a pain in the arse getting tickets to these kind of festivals.

They have some previous Glastonbury acts on BBC Six Music at the moment. One thing that's apparent is that so many of the acts simply _can't_ sing. While the instrument playing's great, the singing is sometimes about as good as me in the shower. No wonder Top of the Pops et al. have bands mime to the studio recording of their music!

Once again, Glastonbury is forecast to be a mud-bath. I don't think a music festival is a real music festival unless it pours with rain and the whole place turns into a massive quagmire :-)

...need to make one up. :) Anyway, Woodstock wouldn't have been Woodstock without the mud. And the drugs. But I think it was mostly about the mud.

As for me, I'm only going to one festival this year: Bloodstock Open Air [uk.com]. I jus thope it doesn't rain...
