So.. I was kind of excited hoping I could see this exploit work.
I mostly run gentoo...
x86_64 gentoo build: no go.
x86 hardended kernel, gentoo: no go.
I thought it was the 64 bit that was giving it problems since my laptop and tower are both 64bit builds. So far I can't seem to get it to work, so it might be a default that's enabled in certain kernels. I'm sure I disabled virtualization since I see no use of it right now.
So, sadly, I couldn't get the exploit to work. :(
