I was hoping there would be an easy "virtual RAID" solution out there already, but it looks like the current solutions (OpenAFS, etc.) would require too much time to setup and maintain. I was trying to avoid buying additional drives for a real RAID, because I have several disks here already with 40GB+ free space. But it looks like the cheapest and most robust solution for me is to simply buy some disks and install a real RAID subsystem, then mount the disk from all the computers on my LAN. Th
