I'd heard somewhere that financial mismanagement ultimately led to selling off-brand merch on consignment. For 15 yrs I would head there for computer parts and other electronic gear. I haven't needed much in the past few years so I didn't notice the decilne at first, but the past 3 years has been pretty steep. I went in 3 days before Christmas 2020 and the store was deserted of customers, merch, and employees. Still, I'm kinda surprised it took them until now to finally close shop. It's too bad, i'm gonna seriously miss their weekly mobo/prosc-combos.

I've had a $20 dumb phone and a dirt cheap plan with Virgin Mobile since about 2004. Had no complaints about any of the service (their customer service was the best). But their smart phone rate were too high for me, so I switched away from them after 15 yrs. Felt a little guilty about that. Looks like I needn't have worried. Farewell VM- you are missed.

The candy companies got the clock-change day moveded so that Halloween fell within DST (more evening daylight- so more kids would be trick-or-treating in daylight hours). So some moneyed interests want this.
