I know lots of students and not a one has or wants an i device. The university should be making it's own app for student ID instead of using Apple's. I can't believe that this would be a very complicated endeavor.
China accounts for over 50 percent of the total global electricity generation by coal. The US is only 11 percent - the same as India. Splitting this usage data up by individual person is stupid - every country will use far more power for industrial applications that residential.
I've had Covid, it wasn't a big deal for me, and so now I see no reason to take an experimental vaccine. This poll doesn't take into account those that have had the virus and are immune.
There are two dangerous aspects of this for people in the PNW/Western Canada. Many people here do not have air conditioning because it "never" gets anywhere close to this temperature..
I live on the other side of the mountains from Seattle, about 2 hours away. Everyone has air conditioners and/or evaporative coolers on their houses here because we're used to a week or two of 108F temps every summer. 105F today is just normal for this time of year across most of Washington, idaho and Oregon.
My family has been planting 1000 new trees every spring on my Uncle's property. We've been doing this for over 10 years. The previous owner downed and sold every single tree on this property as firewood 45 years ago. It is unrecognizable today (in a good way).

I had the second version of the Blade Pro 17. Besides their software for the second display being unbelievably buggy it was a good work machine for me - just enough power for cad, but still very portable. I really liked having the touchpad off to the side.
After 6 months of use the battery started to go. I contacted them and was told the very custom battery was only covered by the extended warrantee and could not be purchased by itself. So I bought an extended warrantee, but was then told the batteries were out of stock. 7 months later they finally came into stock. By this time the original battery would last about three seconds. I tried to get a replacement and was told the extended warrantee only covered the battery for 1 year from date of purchase - of the notebook not the extended warrantee.
Never again will I buy Razer anything.
To satisfy our PPE loan, we have been paying our shop people for full time work even though they've had almost nothing to do. Now that the loan has expired and we have more work to be done, some of these employees are refusing to work but still seem to want to be paid. We are preparing to fire them all.
I think the same is true for those on unemployment that are making more now than when they had a job - I'm sure our lazy employees are counting on good unemployment benefits too, given their attitude.
I've had covid, it wasn't a big deal for me and have no reason to get an experimental shot. With as many others who are in the same situation as me, maybe these passports should be based on the presence of antibodies instead.
Why isn't China paying for it?
Duo is better and works on anything.
we want to empower them to mine cryptocurrency with Norton, a brand they trust
I've never trusted Norton.
The profitability of crypto mining via GPU is very low right now (at least compared to a month ago), so maybe these will actually be available to buy at near the msrp when they arrive and not just go to mining farms.
And yes, I can confirm that notebooks with capable GPU's are being used in mass quantities in mining farms. My area has some of the cheapest power in the country ($0.03/kwhr), so mining farms are in abundance here.
Constitutional rights do not apply to those who are not citizens of the country (yet). A visa holder also is not a citizen, and therefore has no constitutional rights. We give them rights anyway, in most cases. but given the number of terrorists that want anyone that doesn't think like they do to die or be enslaved I'm ok with the government doing some vetting, so long as they don't break their constitutional vows and do it to citizens.
This country needs to figure out what it's going to be - either follow the constitution and allow immigration after proper vetting, or go full socialist / communist without immigration allowed. More socialist countries rarely allow immigration at all, because it just doesn't work when they do. Communists countries just send you to the re-education camps, or harvest your organs.
Oh, and that Trump 'Muslim ban' -- Obama did the same thing, but for some reason the media and all the lefties didn't cry foul when he did it: https://observer.com/2017/01/b...
If either one was really a Muslim ban then there would have been a lot more than just six countries on the list.
