MS paid the shell company handling Nortel's bankruptcy that money. Nortel as an actual company was gone by then.

They sure don't take care of some of their older customers... The GT-AC5300 which was one of their earlier top of the line routers (~$400) hasn't received a new firmware since March 2022. But my even older basic RT-AC68U had one in may which has at least some of the fixes just announced.

That pingdom link you cited is 14 years old (2008). Here is a much newer list - http://www.iana.org/assignment... Many (not all) of those blocks have been reclaimed by ARIN and they are managing it.

I don't understand why apple just didn't provide the touch bar above the Function keys. They make the touchpad WAY too big, especially on the new 16" M1 systems. Cut that down just a bit, move the keyboard down, and put the touch bar at top.

Not only is there commercials, they took content from amazon prime (commercial-free) and moved it to IMDB with the commercials. Two shows that I had started watching and were commercial free (Andromeda and The Prisoner) changed to IMDB with the commercials. Really annoying.

Are you really that ignorant? This requirement will not add cost or weight to the car. From the car and driver article (Dec '09) linked above:

"Since the advent of electronic throttle control, many automakers have added software to program the throttle to close—and therefore cut power—when the brakes are applied. Cars from BMW, Chrysler, Nissan/Infiniti, Porsche, and Volkswagen/Audi have this feature, and that’s precisely why the G37 aced this test."

So, aready being done by a wide range of companies, it is only a small change to the software they already have, and it allows a very logical override: if you press the brakes then the throttle will close.

The whole excuse of "when I was little we didn't have all these regulations" is total BS. I especially love the "we didn't were seat belts or have car seats, and look I survived." No shit, if you were in a high speed accident, you would have dead or had serious injuries and likely would not be here to say that crap. Does everyone get into that type of accident? - No, but enough, and the injuries are so severe that prevention is the best option.
