The idea that organs that have an unknown use must be leftover from an earlier species has been argued by evolutionists for a long time.

Several decades ago it was thought that humans had about 180 vestigial/leftover organs. Now that number is down to 0 to 6.

These organs probably have a purpose, and if they did not it would be an example of microevolution and not macroevolution.
