I wouldnt be surprised if this is misquoted and it really means the JIT translation that the other browser engines use. But doing it on another core is a nice move, I wonder how well that affects the performance. I'd honestly have expected Apple to do that first, having a good API for doing this kind of thing.

Really? Seriously?
It's not so much a joke as a snarky comment about the lack of editing (as usual) in the summary, which neither informs you about what the hell it's actually going on about, nor does it even manage to spell it's own subject matter correctly, for example as pointed out "Communincator".

The main problems with things like this are that you have to go out and buy an expensive peripheral for an 'extra' in the game, you can play the game perfectly fine without it usually its only to enhance. The reason keyboard and mouse stuck for gaming is because you have them there. I love the innovations that these kinda things do, but I'll probably never get to use it. Plus all my games are downloaded from Steam now.

Yeah, what's probably happened is they've hooked up a quick database to store users / tweets etc Then all the front end work is just shamelessly taken and they only have to work on making a similar API for it to work with. I wouldn't be surprised to find that a Plurk client would just work with the MSN one if you change the URL. The design is also painfully similar, so I imagine they just threw on the microsoft branding on the front and uploaded some new images and colours in the CSS.
