A lot of people will instantly reject anything that is too different. Some argue, that is the reason that Windows 8 never really caught on.

Office 2003 may work great for your own documents. But, what happens when somebody emails you an Office 2013 document that you need to edit, and send back?
I used Win2K for years after it was EOL. I had far less problems with security than I now have Windows 7.
IMO: Win2K was best OS Microsoft ever released.
From what I have heard, UK has been getting a flood of immigrants who want nothing more than to live on the UK's generous welfare system.
The non-productive immigrants are totally draining the system.
I am using it way more than my windows notebook, my android tablet, my kindle, or my ipod touch.
- fast boot
- small and lightweight
- long battery life
- enough power to load websites in a reasonable time
- real keyboard
- no worries about malware
- screen, and keyboard, big enough to be useful
- screen is high enough resolution for everything I use it for - and I am well over 40 years old.
It is not perfect for everything. But for the $145 I paid, I'm very happy. I'd buy it again.
Is that where they keep prisoner wizards, or somethings.
I did not say that Americans invented everything, I said that Americans have done way more than their share.
How could that be possible in a nation of drooling technology idiots?
Sure, a tiny percentage. But shouldn't countries with 4X the US population have 4X as many great inventors?
The web is a boat load of inventions, and Americans have done more than their share. No one person created the web.
Americans have way more than their share of academic achievements, inventions, business creations, and so on.
We would not even be discussing this on slashdot, if it were not for several US inventions.
And what wasn't done by an American, was probably done by some other westerner.
The rest of the world can get all snotty about irrelevant standardized tests, or whatever. But when it comes right down to it, Americans more than hold their own, against any other group.
USA is only about 5% of the world's population. But when it comes to the really big inventions, I don't think the rest of the world even comes close.
> Touch-tone, that new-fangled tech from the 1970s...
Touch-tone has been around since 1962 - over half a century ago.

Government is not 100% stable, but it is far more stable than other alternatives.
The guy has less credibility that Enderle, if such a thing is possible.
